Case Study Maya:

Maya is passionate student, but struggles with Dyslexia, SCD and Attention & Organisation.

Adaptive teaching strategies can be employed to mediate the effects of these on her learning.

Dyslexia - Dual coding, lots of pictures, defining key words, Subject specific glossaries

Social Communication DIfficulties - Sit her next to a student that she already has a close relationship with to allow her to communicate her thoughts (Share what your partner said)

Attention and Organisation - Organise her notes for her, printouts

In the ever-evolving landscape of education, the concept of adaptive practice has emerged as a transformative approach in teaching secondary school students.

Recognizing that each learner possesses unique abilities, learning styles, and pace, adaptive practice tailors instruction to individual needs, fostering a personalised and dynamic learning environment.

This innovative pedagogical strategy goes beyond traditional one-size-fits-all methodologies, embracing technology, data analytics, and differentiated instruction to create an inclusive and effective educational experience.
